J. Bruce Stevens

J. Bruce Stevens, 79, of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in his residence.

He was a retired purchasing agent for AMP, Inc., Harrisburg; enjoyed golfing, gardening, and Saturday night dinners at Nicks 114 Cafe; and was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and A.M.P.R.A.

Bruce was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late James E. and Adela M. (Stephens) Stevens. He was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg, PA and Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA.

He was the widower of Diane (Line) Stevens, predeceased by son, Jeffrey A., and is survived by his daughter Joanne L. McCarthy of New Cumberland and a sister Barbara Grimshaw of Glendale, AZ.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Dr. Edwin Green, his pastor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home.
