James John Frandano, 76, entered eternal life on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Advent Health Hospital in Celebration, Fla., from congestive heart failure while battling pancreatic cancer. His loving wife was by his side.

He was born on January 18, 1946, in Newark, N.J., to the late Aloysius Frandano and Rose Catherine (Fanfoni) Frandano. He spent his early childhood in Kearny, N.J., and was known as “Jimmy” or “Jim” to friends and family. He attended and graduated from Saint Cecilia High School in the Class of 1965. He joined the United States Navy in 1966 and received an honorable discharge in 1969.

Following his time in the Navy, he moved to California where he worked for Transamerica Corporation in Los Angeles. In 1971, he moved back to New Jersey and joined Warner-Lambert, a pharmaceutical company in Morris Plains. For 30 years, he managed computer operations, corporate systems development, and was the director of Information Technology. In 2001, he accepted a position with Dauphin County Government as the Chief Information Officer in Harrisburg, Pa.

He was married to Debora J. Frandano and the two shared many years of happiness together. He and his wife lived in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grown children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his lifelong friends Denny, Kenny, Paulie, Schultzie (Bob), Whitey, and (late) John.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held privately. Memorial donations can be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans and active-duty service members, at this website: woundedwarriorproject.org/donate
