MSGT James L. Goode, USAF Retired, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, upon retirement he worked for Best Products, Ben Franklin, and later Family Dollar. He attended Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. He enjoyed genealogy, puzzles, and latch-hooking.
He was born January 22, 1944 in Medora, IL to James Sidney Goode and the late Phyllis (Anders) Goode.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Edna Bohrer Goode; a son, Mark E. Yost (Virginia) of Wasilla, AK; a daughter, Karen A. Goode of Etters; four siblings, Douglas Goode of Plattsburg, MO, Gary Goode of Rio Linda, CA, Earline Todd of Milstadt, IL, and David Goode of Charlotte, NC; and a granddaughter, Olivia Yost-Lindsley of Wasilla, AK.
Viewing will be from 9:30 until funeral services at 10:30am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30pm Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
