James R. Mcallister

James R. McAllister, 87, of Fairview Twp., Etters, died Tuesday, November 08, 2016, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was the farmer and owner of North Acre Farm, Etters, and was a 1947 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School. Born on July 2, 1929, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Clair T. and Clara S. (Richley) McAllister. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie A. McCauslin.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Conley McAllister; his son, Todd C. McAllister and his wife Kris of Millersville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Grave side services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fairview Twp., with Jim’s son, Todd, and the Rev. Dr. Deborah J. Heisley-Cato officiating.
The family has requested no flowers and instead, memorial contributions may be made to to Kindred Hospice (gentiva.com), 4660 Trindle Road, Suite 204, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
