Jane Louise (Hommer) Renshaw

Jane Louise (Hommer) Renshaw, 89, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

Jane graduated from Reade Township High School, Glasgow, PA. She was a Registered Nurse, a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Philadelphia and the Army’s U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps. Additionally, she was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland.

Her first priority in life was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. She loved to travel especially enjoying yearly visits to the beach with the family.

Jane was born in Glasgow, PA to the late John Henry and Irene (Richardson) Hommer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband W. Richard Renshaw, her stepmother Genevieve (Troxell) Hommer, sister Joan Sober and brother Jack Hommer.

She is survived by her children, J. Douglas Renshaw and his wife Loraine of Mechanicsburg, Sandra L. Robison and her husband William of Camp Hill and JoAnn C. Renshaw of York Haven; six grandchildren, Melissa, Karen, Tricia, Tim, Jeff and David; six great grandchildren, Cassidy, Caitlyn, Nathan, Frankie, Hugh, John and an expected seventh great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 530 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070. Viewings will be from 6-8 pm on Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland and from 10-11 am on Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Township.
