Janice V. Mummert

Janice V. Mummert, 80, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, on Monday, October 26th, 2015, passed peacefully, at her residence, with her family by her side.
Janice was a graduate of the Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., and Hanover High School, Hanover, Pa.
She retired as a Registered Nurse for the Pinnacle Health Harrisburg Hospital and Community General Osteopathic Hospital. Mrs. Mummert was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill, and its Adult Sunday School Class and was a member of the Susquehanna Sewing Guild. She was an accomplished painter and enjoyed traveling. Born on January 9th, 1935, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Albright) Messinger, and step daughter of the late Glenn O. Messinger, and daughter of Robert C. Cunningham.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, James A. Mummert; two sons and their wives, Michael R. and Norma O'Neill of York, and Daniel S. and Kaitlee O'Neill of Seven Valleys; a daughter and her husband, Ellen A. and Jose M. Gaona of Fairfield; two step sons, both of Dover, William A. Mummert and his wife, Lori, and Glenn M. Mummert; five grandchildren, Andrea, Margaret, Kasey, Matthew and Amy and nine great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 7th at Christ Presbyterian Church, 421 Deerfield Road, Camp Hill, with the Rev. Ellen Crawford True officiating. Visitation will be held 9:30-11:00 am at the church, prior to the service.
