Jeanne Steele Hodges

Jeanne Steele Hodges, 74, of New Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing, Harrisburg.

She was a 1966 graduate of North Hollywood High School, Hollywood, CA and attended Valley Junior College, Van Nuys, CA. Jeanne was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lemoyne, PA and really enjoyed yard sales and playing cards; but most important of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Jeanne was born in New York, NY and was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Steele, and Mildred Steele and stepmother, Katherine Pogrom.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 51 years, William G. Hodges; children, John W. Hodges (Liz DiCosimo) of Harrisburg and Michelle E. Gopear of Harrisburg; a brother Nathan D. Steele of Saint Pedro, CA; grandchildren, William J. Kurtz, III, Brandon S. Kurtz, Alyssa M. Kurtz and Tyler J. Kurtz; and a great grandson, Diego Antonio Tuscano.

Services will be held at a future date when family can travel in from out of state to honor and pay tribute to Jeanne. Please periodically check back to our website for the service time and day to be announced.
