Joanne Mcneal Young

Joanne McNeal Young, 91, formerly of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Frey Village, Middletown.

She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and a Philadelphia Debutante. Joanne was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph H. and Louise S. (Grey) McNeal.

She was the widow of Thompson Westcott Young and is survived by her children, Gary A. Young and wife Susan of Palmyra, Joseph C. Young and wife Julia of Mechanicsburg, Deborah G. Reed and fiancé Edward W. Johnson of Camp Hill and Judith Y. McConnell and husband Robert of Mechanicsburg; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden as Celebrant. Viewing will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested in Joanne’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, 4219 Trindle Road Camp Hill, PA 17011.
