Jody Marie Stafford

July 26, 1960 — September 18, 2021

Jody Marie Stafford, age 61, died on September 18, 2021, following a fast-progressing pulmonary disease. Her family takes solace that Jody was given a somber but blessed opportunity to say goodbye to her loved ones before surrendering peacefully to a greater reward. Born July 26, 1960, Jody was the oldest daughter of Nola Weeks of Mechanicsburg, and the late James Robenseifner (Sally). Jody’s sweet, innocent outlook was best exemplified in the pure joy she felt while on getaway trips with her children, kayaking along local waterways, enrolling in art classes to expand her talent, or simply sitting on the beach to marvel at the rolling waves.

Jody is survived by her children, George Stafford of Mechanicsburg, Amanda Carlson (Tony) of Camp Hill, James Stafford (Alyssa) of Shermans Dale and Alexandra Stafford (fiancé Chris) of Mechanicsburg. Jody’s crowning achievement, as she’d proclaim, was her title “Jo-G-Mom” to her beloved granddaughter, Laurel.

Jody was the oldest of six girls and her five surviving sisters remember her affectionately in a thousand different ways. Her sisters include Karen Luckemeyer (James) of Texas, Jamie Robenseifner of New Cumberland, Kerri Smith (Steve) of Mechanicsburg, Kristie Foster (Scott) of Camp Hill and Stacey Frost (Scott) of Marysville. Jody is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her playful kitten, Ono.

As in life, Jody’s death demonstrates her unselfishness, as she asked to be a donor to enhance the quality of life for multiple others.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with Rev. Floyd Carlin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org).
