John Hrubovcak

John Hrubovcak, 78, of Camp Hill passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

He was born November 10, 1942 in Coaldale, PA to the late John and Wanda (Zwolenik) Hrubovcak.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; son, John (Julie) and grandsons, Alexander and Nicholas, all of Virginia. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy and brother James, both of Summit Hill, PA.

John graduated from Marian High School, received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University and Doctorate in Law from University of Maryland. As an engineer, John worked for Martin Marietta in Maryland. He began his career as an attorney with the Fish and Wildlife Service. After moving to Pennsylvania, he practiced law as an environmental attorney for the Commonwealth with PennDot. He enjoyed travelling with his wife both domestically and internationally, skiing in the winter and frequenting the Hershey water park in the summer.

Additionally, he enjoyed gardening, terracing and building outdoor structures, building model trains, tinkering with computers and gadgets and enjoying weekend football games with his family.

He was a member of St. Theresa Parish and its Knights of Columbus Council 8921, New Cumberland, Lower Allen Twp. Lions Club and the Susquehanna Ski Club.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, October 22, 2021 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. A private burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Summit Hill, PA at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, say a prayer for a cancer patient.
