John R. Gross, Jr.

John R. Gross, Jr., 57, of New Cumberland, was granted his wings on October 23, 2017.

John will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times. Unfortunately, this time the pain was too difficult, and he died by suicide on Monday afternoon.

John was the service advisor for Kumpf's Auto Repair in New Cumberland. He participated in various bowling leagues over the years. He enjoyed watching football in the fall and winter and Senators baseball in the spring and summer.

Born on June 7, 1960, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late John Gross, Sr. and Dolores (Schmick) Polsky.

Surviving are his daughter and her fiancé, Jennifer Young and Zachary Hoppes of Harrisburg; sisters, Debbie Jacoby of Naples, FL, Lori Swam of Cleona, and Teresa Seehafer of Naples, FL; and grandsons, Draven Gross and Corvin Young.

He was a very loving father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
