Johnny G. Sellers

Johnny G. Sellers, 86, of Dillsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a retired First Sergeant with the Military Police and a U.S. Army Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. Johnny was a graduate of Hayesville (NC) High School and enjoyed cutting wood and being in the outdoors.

Johnny was born in Hayesville, NC to the late Wiley and Jesse (Macnab) Sellers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.

He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Virginia (Eshelman) Sellers; children, Mark Sellers of Dillsburg, Dan Sellers of Murfreesboro, TN and Lisa Schlosser of York; two sisters, Juanita Pannell of Ashville, NC and Peggy Anderson of Hayesville, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Due to the government restrictions associated with the COVID 19 pandemic, a private graveside committal will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. A Celebration of Johnny’s life with military honors will be scheduled for a future date so that all can gather and remember.
