Kathleen L. Richie

Kathleen L. Richie, 71, of New Cumberland died Monday, January 28, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

A 1965 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Coal Twp. she was retired from Arnold Transportation. She was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland where she served as Mercy Service Coordinator. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bingo, casinos, her dogs, and most of all her grandchildren.

She was born April 5, 1947 in Shamokin to the late William A. and Irene Regina (Sockoloski) Ryan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Sandra and Christina.

She is survived by her husband Dennis R. Richie; two sons, Paul W. (Gennifer) of New Cumberland and Joel T. of York Haven; a sister, Mary Anne Kazlauskas of Croydon; mother-in-law, Nevada Richie of Shamokin; and two grandchildren, Ethan and Benjamin.

The family would like to recognize the outstanding MSICU nursing staff at Harrisburg Hospital.

Viewings will be from 2 to 4pm Sunday and 9:30 to 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Committal will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
