Kathryn "Kay" Elizabeth Mcmeans

Kathryn “Kay” Elizabeth McMeans, 100, formerly of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

She was a Registered Nurse for the former Blue Shield, Camp Hill, and was a 1941 graduate of the Germantown Hospital School of Nursing. Kay was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, and its Quilter's Group, and she truly enjoyed being with her family, especially the little ones. Born in Carlisle on June 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. and Marian E. (Burkholder) Jacobs. She was the widow of Daniel D. McMeans and Jacob W. Clausen and was also preceded in death by two sons, William D. Clausen and Jacob W. Clausen, Jr.

Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Nancy C. and Stephen T. Jensen of Allentown; a stepson and his wife, David W. and Kim McMeans of Hershey; two stepdaughters, Susan E. Clausen of New Cumberland, and Karen R. Stone and her husband Barry of Etters; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren & four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Jennifer Richards officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church on Wednesday.
