Lavonne Kraft Sowers

March 6, 1940 — January 3, 2016

LaVonne “Bonnie” Kraft Sowers, 75, of Lower Paxton Township died Sunday, January 3, 2016 in her home peacefully in her sleep.
She was retired from the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Brownstone Chapter 509. She was a loyal volunteer with the Lower Paxton Volunteer Firemens Ambulance Assn. where she served as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed years of traveling, and most recently spending summers at the beach.
She was born March 6, 1940 in Harrisburg to the late Andrew Herald and Alverta Sara (Shoop) Kraft. She was the widow of Samuel E. Sowers, II and also preceded in death by her brother Andrew Herald Kraft, Jr.
She is survived by a son, Scott D. Sowers (Holly) of Halifax; daughter, Lyn Dell Garrison (Dennis) of Harrisburg; sister, Sherryl Kraft McCoy (Ray) of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren, Madison, Dominique, and Bryce Ertter.
Viewing will be from 9:30am until funeral services at 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
