Larry D. Umphred

Larry D. Umphred, 64 years old, of Newberry Twp. died Friday, March 5, 2021 at home.

He retired as an employee of New Cumberland Auto Parts. Larry was a member of Northern York County Game and Fish Association; was an avid hunter, fisher and outdoorsman and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Most importantly, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

Born on Saturday, January 5, 1957, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Robert and Esther (Krone) Umphred and was also preceded in death by his son, Jeremy B. Umphred, four brothers and a sister.

Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Anna M. (Switzer) Umphred; a son, Larry A. Umphred his wife Jessica of Kodak, TN; two daughters, Amber M. LeDoux of New Cumberland and Ashley L. Hamilton and her husband Joshua of Enola; eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and preceded in death granddaughter Jasey.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
