Leroy B. Sheaffer, Sr.

Leroy B. Sheaffer Sr., 79, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Wednesday, October 14th, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg, surrounded by his family.
He retired as a carpenter and roofer at the former New Cumberland Army Depot. Mr. Sheaffer was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Lewisberry and American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland. Mr. Sheaffer enjoyed his walking buddies with whom he walked each morning at 5 AM, however his family was the most important thing in his life. Born on March 17th, 1936, he was the son of the late Fred and Edna (Miller) Norman. Mr. Sheaffer was the widower of Hilda (Nieberle) Sheaffer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Pastors Don Isely and Calvin Cutting officiating. Entombment will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Leroy B. Jr. and Lisa of New Cumberland, Danny T. and LaDonna of Mt. Airy, NC, Jeff S. and Kim of New Cumberland; a daughter and her husband, Edna J. and Gerry Golden of Dillsburg; two sisters, Clara Crousore of San Diego, CA, and Ella Janney of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
