Leslie J. (Fisher) Shadle

June 22, 1959 — June 3, 2020

Leslie J. (Fisher) Shadle, 60, of Mechanicsburg passed away on Wednesday June 3rd, 2020 at UPMC West Shore Pinnacle Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband and kids. Daughter of the late Thomas and Patricia (Boyer) Fisher, she was born on June 22nd, 1959 in Mechanicsburg.

Leslie graduated from Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill (’77) and went to work for Rite Aid Corporation. She had been with Rite Aid for 43 years, where she was a supervisor. Leslie was a very integral part of the corporation and always had a pulse for the place.

Leslie had a very warm and inviting personality, which made it very easy to love her. She genuinely cared about everyone and was always looking to help others. Volunteering and community service were very important to her. Whether Leslie was raising money for her community through various organizations, sending care packages to soldiers overseas or donating school supplies to local elementary schools, she was ready to lend a hand. If you were in need, she would be there for you; a second mom to many, with a heart of gold.

Leslie was incredibly fun to be around and really wanted to enjoy everything life had to offer. She loved to try new things and was always ready for new adventures (sometimes with a little coaxing), and she couldn’t wait to travel with her husband. She loved going on family vacations and making memories in new towns but also valued time at home. Sunday afternoons were for card games (and laughing hysterically) with all of her kids around the table; she was the funniest of the bunch. Her family, including her two dogs and grand-pup, will miss her tremendously, as she was the best thing that ever happened to them.

Surviving Leslie is her husband of 35 years, Keith Shadle; her children, Stacey Lee Shadle, Danielle Erin Shadle, and Rudy Christopher Shadle of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Penny Fisher of Port Treverton; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Ravis (husband, Robert) of New Cumberland, and Marie Shadle of Harrisburg; nieces and nephews, Rob Ravis, Nicole Ravis, and Lisa Chianos; and many grand nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill on Tuesday June 9th.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to continue supporting our community in Leslie’s honor. Since she was her family’s biggest cheerleader, we thought Penn State’s THON (which supports Four Diamonds) would be fitting, since her son is personally involved in raising funds for the organization and had the opportunity to dance during the 2020 fundraiser. Please contact Rudy Shadle at RCS16@PCT.edu for details on how to donate to the 2021 campaign in Leslie’s name.
