Lois J. Rescorla

Lois J. Rescorla, 86, of Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp., and formerly of Newberry Twp., died Monday, August 24th, 2015, at the Village.
She was a former member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Sweet Adelines chorus and enjoyed singing, sports, and writing poetry. Born on January 5th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Verna M. (Zeiter) Matzinger. Lois was a wonderful wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, John F. Rescorla; two daughters, Debra Desso (husband, Tom) of Mechanicsburg, and Sherry DiPrima (husband, Frank) of Dillsburg; a sister, Joan E. Lindermuth of Olympia, WA; four grandsons, Todd and Jeff Desso, Danny and Jonathan DiPrima; two great grandchildren, Emma and Kaleb Desso.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with The Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
