Louise P. Sowers

Louise P. Sowers, 82, of New Cumberland, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 in her residence.
She was a retired Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Penn State Hershey School of Medicine, where she worked for 27 years.
Louise loved anything to do with music, theatre, and dancing, was an avid reader, and was a die-hard Penn State football fan. Louise loved animals, and was especially fond of the Portuguese Water Dog and Löwchen breeds, many of which she owned throughout her life. She also enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband Ray and their dogs in their motor home.
Louise was born in Harrisburg to the late John and Madalyn (Kough) Punda and was preceded in death by a son, David A. Sowers.
She is survived by her husband of over 22 years, Ray K. Forney; her granddaughter Stephanie A. Sowers-Waros and husband Timothy Waros of Harrisburg; daughter in law Sharon H. Sowers of Harrisburg; and dear family friend Pamela K. Radle of Harrisburg.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Private committal will be at the convenience of the family.
