M Sgt William Jesse Wright

M SGT William Jesse Wright, US Army, retired died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

He also retired as a Capitol Police Officer from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was a past member of Ballroom Break Dance Studio and Penn Harris Toastmasters Club. He was an avid reader and enjoyed nostalgic music.

He was born November 15, 1932 in Newport News, VA to the late William Jesse Wright, Sr. and Ida Va (Taylor) Wright. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Gerald and Douglas.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Emma Louise (Knapp) Wright; son, Mark C. Wright of Harrisburg, a cousin, Randy of the Tidewater area of Virginia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Francis and Isabella of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1pm Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Pastor Tom Graham will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church, 116 S. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025.
