Madelyn S. "Lyn" Robinson

Madelyn “Lyn” Robinson met her Savior face-to-face on March 14, 2019. Born to Carl and Linda (Lonnberg) Setterstrom on October 14, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas DeWolfe Robinson (who died in 1958), brothers Carl Setterstrom and Robert Setterstrom, and infant grandson Daniel Robinson Turnow. Lyn was the proud mother of 2, fun MorMor to 8, and glad great-grandmother of 14.

She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Michael) Turnow and her son Donald (Lori) Robinson, and loving grandchildren Sara (Eric) Fragoso, Libby (Graham) Howell, Doug (Aubree) Robinson, Kate (Tyler) Hughes, Donny Robinson, Emily (Andrew) Davis, Bethany (Ian) Shows, and Jessie (Zen) Hess.

Lyn graduated from Wheaton College (Physical Education) and from Hofstra University (Guidance and Counseling). Most of her adult life was spent in Garden City, NY, but she moved to New Cumberland, PA about 15 years ago. Lyn readily served in her church communities at New Hyde Park Baptist Church (NY) and New Life Church (PA).

She was a loyal friend, spunky card player, and follower of her faithful God. She had a rich prayer life, a love of Bible study, and an extravagantly generous spirit that will be missed by many.

Lyn Robinson’s full and vibrant life was celebrated at Parthemore Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:30 pm. Her committal service will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 18, 2019 in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
