Margaret G. "Peggy" Nead

Margaret G. “Peggy” Nead, 88, formerly of Blair County, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 in Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Hampden Twp.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hollidaysburg. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with family.

Peggy was born in Altoona to the late James E. and Gretchen (Claar) Thompson.

She was the widow of Bart D. Nead, Sr. and is survived by her children, Bart D. Nead, Jr. and wife Donna of Easley, SC, Patricia J. Zahorian of New Cumberland and Susan G. Lucas and husband Michael of Etters; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with Pastor Ed Fleming officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Greenfield Cemetery, Queen, Bedford County, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897 Hershey, PA 17033.
