Marie L. Zack

Marie L. Zack, 89, of New Cumberland, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, July 22, 2013 in Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was a current member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and a former founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Marie was born in Carbondale, PA to the late Raymond and Mary (Tell) Wasman.
She was the widow of William P. Zack and is survived by her three sons, William F. and wife Joelle of New Cumberland, Raymond A. and wife Kristie of Frisco, TX and Gerard M. and wife April of Gaithersburg, MD; and two granddaughters, Corianne and Kelly.
Marie was a devoted mother and a fierce advocate for her three sons. She loved all children and until the very end of her life she would light up at the sight of a child. Marie had a deep life-long love of music and was a family champion of crossword puzzles and Scrabble games. Her graciousness and humor warmed the lives of all those she touched.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, July 29, 2013 in her church. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp. After the burial, a light luncheon will be served at the Clarion Hotel, 148 Sheraton Drive, New Cumberland.
