Mark O. Turban

Mark O. Turban, 81, of New Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Son of the late Jacob David and Cathryn (Becker) Turban, he was born on March 9, 1938, and lived in New Cumberland his entire life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica H. Turban.

Mark was a loving brother, husband and father, and is survived by his daughter, Valorie H. (Turban) Rosi and husband, Rodney J. Rosi, of East Berlin, PA; as well as his son, James H. Turban and wife, Ginny Turban, of Millerstown, PA; three grandchildren, Daniel Turban, Ashley Turban and Jessica Rosi; and one great-grandson, Jacob. He is also survived by a brother, Jacob D. Turban, of Chicago, IL; and three sisters, Anna Jane Runyan, of Kenova, WV, Henrietta Mae Haffey, of Lemoyne, PA, Cathryn L. Fetterhoff, of New Cumberland, PA. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Turban.

Mark’s greatest attributes were his honesty and integrity; he was always true to his word and put the needs of others before himself. Mark enjoyed reading his Bible and taught Bible study classes. He lived a simple life; oftentimes taking his dog for walks, playing chess, following baseball, and going on trips. He worked hard to support his family and instilled these good virtues to his children. He had a joyful, forgiving and loving soul. May his memory be a blessing.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A viewing will take place from 1:30PM until the service begins at the funeral home.
