Martin V. Brackbill

Martin V. Brackbill, 85, of Hearthside Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, State College, formerly of Honey Grove, PA died Monday, May 8, 2017 at the home.

He was a retired Biochemist from the National Institute of Health. He was a 1949 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School and 1953 graduate of Penn State University. He enjoyed horticulture.

He is survived by his siblings, John B. Brackbill of Seattle, WA, Elizabeth Houser of Fort Collins, CO, Jeremiah U. Brackbill of Portland, OR and Robert M. Brackbill of Brooklyn, NY; ten nieces and nephews; thirteen great-nephews and great-nieces; and two cousins, Charles and Hummel Fager.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Harrisburg Cemetery.
