Mary Frances Heicher

Mary Frances Heicher, 88, of Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp., died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church. Prior to moving to Mechanicsburg, she was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Middletown, and Highspire United Methodist Church, where she was active with both congregations. She was a former member of the Middletown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of the former New Cumberland High School and Central Penn Business College. She was a retired secretary from Penn State Harrisburg, Provost’s office, where she worked for 17 years, and had previously been a secretary at the former United Telephone Company, Harrisburg.
Born on September 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Augustus P. and Helen M. (Lechthaler) Kerlin. She was the widow of William S. Heicher.
She is survived by two children; a son, David W. Heicher (Jeanne K.) of Newport; a daughter, Susan M. Fetzer (Richard) of Woxall; four grandchildren, Grace Heicher (fiancé, Brian Heiland) and Mary Beth Heicher and Daniel Fetzer (fiancé, Karyn Herzer) and Diana Ricci (Matthew); a brother, Richard A. Kerlin; an aunt, Mary Caroline Lechthaler of Camp Hill; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11AM at the Community Room at Bethany Village East, 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Brand W. Eaton officiating. Burial was held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. Visitation with the family will follow the services.
