Melissa Jean Hines

Melissa Jean Hines, 46, of Nescopeck and formerly of Camp Hill, Lewisberry and Reading, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020, in Altoona.

She worked in the clerical field in various offices throughout the central PA area. In her youth, she was an energetic equestrian rider winning numerous trophies in her class. Melissa was a very focused mother following strict guidelines while raising her children.
Born on October 2, 1973 in East Pennsboro Twp., she was the daughter of Dolly J. (Lubic) Ringler (Wayne) of Cody, WY, and Donald F. Myers of Camp Hill.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by Gary Hines of Silver Creek, GA; her former stepfather, Joseph L. Popp Jr. of Lewisberry; her children, Camaron Hines and Isiah Walker of Silver Creek, GA, and Chelsea Hines of Wilkes-Barre; a grandson, Eshawn of Silver Creek, GA; a brother and sister, David Myers of Powell, WY, Jennifer Popp-Intrieri of York Haven; many nieces, nephews, aunts nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray costs.
