Michael R. Falk

August 14, 1975 — April 7, 2021

Michael R. Falk, 45, of East Pennsboro Twp., died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center, East Pennsboro Twp.

He was a Social Worker at DaVita Dialysis, Lemoyne; He attended Cedar Cliff High School, Alleghany College of MD, Shippensburg University and received his master’s degree from Temple University.

Born on August 14, 1975, in Harrisburg, he was the son of H. William and Patricia (Tamanini) Falk of New Cumberland.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Morris) Falk; daughters, Riley and Mikayla; brother, Matthew Falk (Amy) of New Cumberland; grandmother, Eleanor(Lennon) Reilley of Warminster; mother-in-law, Jean Morris of Camp Hill; father-in-law, Michael Morris (Cyndy) of Mechanicsburg; sister-in-law, Colleen Livingston (Steven) of Camp Hill; nieces and nephews, Cassie Bock, Matthew "Kane" Falk, Grace Livingston, Sophia Livingston, Max Livingston, Oliver Bock and Ramona Falk; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Dorothy Falk and Joseph and Victoria Tamanini.

Michael, also known as Byrd, will forever be remembered for his love of sports, fishing, song writing, Chuck Norris, Sasquatch-hunting and coaching. He could be found on any given Sunday wearing his bird beak and jersey, ready to kick the field goals and block a punt for the Eagles. He loved the Baltimore Orioles, which was a small feat in and of itself. When sports were not on TV, he could be found fishing in the creek outside his home or on the river with his Dad. He loved being near the water, and as a dad, looked forward to the beach week with his family in Sea Isle City. He had a gift for song writing and playing the guitar. His friends and family loved nothing more than when Mike grabbed the guitar and sang them his original songs: The Dog Song, She’s Always Right and Redneck Heaven. He won a radio song writers contest and played on stage at the York Fair. As many of his closest friends know, Mike loved to drop a Chuck Norris joke and make us all laugh. His girls could do a round house kick as soon as they could walk.

The most important thing to Mike was to coach youth sports. He coached basketball, soccer and softball for the East Pennsboro Youth Athletic League. He had a very calm and patient demeanor with the kids and was so very positive and encouraging. He taught so many kids to love sports; and win or lose, he was always so very proud. He lived to watch his girls, nieces and nephew and their friends play the sports they loved. He never wanted to miss a game, so we know he will be with us on the field, diamond and courts, rooting us on forever. Mike was the original #GirlDad and will forever be missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Kyle Sahd as Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 2 – 4PM on Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
