Michael R. Tyson, Sr.

Michael R. Tyson, Sr., 69, of Harrisburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in his residence.

He was a retired painter with C.B. Smith Painting, Hummelstown; a member of AMVETS Post 280, Rutherford; VFW Post 1213, Rutherford; enjoyed fishing; and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Redskins and Boston Celtics fan. But more than anything, he loved his family.

Mike was born in Salem, NJ to the late Charles E. and Pearl (Zenyuk) Tyson.

He is survived by his life companion, JoAnne (Taylor) Robinson; his children, Michelle L. Limppo and husband Bud of New Bloomfield and Michael R. Tyson, Jr. and wife Everlyne of Middletown; brother Bill J. Tyson of Harrisburg; sisters Janet Lytle of New Cumberland, Ellen M. Tyson of Harrisburg and Patti Rodenhaber of Carlisle; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
