Michelle Marie Machesky

August 27, 1961 — January 17, 2021

Michelle Marie Machesky, 59, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Irvine, CA, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in her residence after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Michelle was a beautiful person inside and out, with a selfless and loving soul. She served as a nurse midwife at the Reading Hospital and later at the University of Southern California Hospital. She loved every minute of her life’s work.

She was a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelors in Nursing and continued her studies at the University of Southern California earning her Masters in Midwifery.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Patricia (Aspinwall) Gibson of Irvine, CA; her sisters, Jamie A. Whye (Thomas) of Harrisburg and Deborah L. Pearlstein (Howard) of Birmingham, AL; brother Stanley Machesky, III (Alyssa) of Lake Forest, CA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will all miss her very deeply.

A PUBLIC visitation will be held from 2-3 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland followed by a PRIVATE celebration of Michelle’s life by her family.
