Myrel Best Phillips

Myrel Best Phillips, 83, of Goldsboro, PA and formerly of Freeport, FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in Yorkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, York, PA with her loving family at her side.

A devoted mother and respected member of her church, Myrel loved and appreciated the simpler things in life, like walking the beech at sunset, playing games with her children, or simply tending the flowers in her garden. She will be remembered for her vibrancy for life and dedication to her Lord and Savior.

Myrel was born in Niceville, FL, one of eleven children and the daughter of Alcus and Minnie (Morrison) Agerton. She was the widow of Walter Phillips and formerly married to the father of her children, Arthur R. Best, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Cline of Goldsboro, Dennis Best of York Haven, Randy Best of Blue Ridge, TX, Alan Best of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Mitchell Best of Destin, FL; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Tri County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry. In keeping with Myrel’s wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation.
