Nancy Newcomer Catlin, 74, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of New Cumberland, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
Born on May 8th, 1940, Nancy was the daughter of the late George B. and Edna M. (Wittlinger) Newcomer. She was the widow of Kenneth E. Catlin who predeceased her on September 27, 1992. She retired as the Director of Constituent Services for the offices of both U.S. Representative George Goodling and U.S. Representative Bill Goodling. Nancy was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland; Kiwanis Club of West Shore; and Ballroom Break.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Esther Liebert, Jane Smith, and Sara Newcomer, and brother G. Robert Newcomer. Surviving are a sister, Helen Garman of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; three nieces, Deborah Mundis (Norm) of Lewisberry, Denise N. Grover (Bob) of New Cumberland, and Susan Wilson (Don) of Warrington; a nephew, Barry Leibert (Diane) of Warminster; three great nieces, Mollie Grover Strahota (Jeff) of Rockville, MD, Kate Wilson of Fort Collins, CO, and Laura Wilson of Warrington; two great nephews, Wes Grover of New Cumberland and Brian Wilson of Camp Lejeune, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday in St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Elaine M. Dent officiating. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
