Paul Lynn Brinton

Paul Lynn Brinton, 93, of Bethany Village and formerly of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at his residence.

Born on January 25, 1928, he was the son of Mabel and Walter Brinton. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Geraldine Martson and James Brinton.

Paul was a 1946 graduate and president of his class at the former New Cumberland High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Japan during WWII. After being discharged from the Army, he enrolled in Gettysburg College where he was a member of Sigma Chi. Following graduation from college, he became an F.B.I. agent and retired in 1980. Paul had been a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation since 1981; a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church where he served many years as a Trustee; American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland; the Friendship Force of Harrisburg which involved hosting international students in their home and traveling to multiple foreign countries.

Along with help from his family Paul built a cabin in Pine Grove Furnace State Park where he enjoyed spending countless weekends. In later years, he enjoyed his time in Cocoa Beach, FL where he spent time fishing and boating.

Surviving are his wife Connie Lou (Feiser) Brinton; a daughter and her husband, Dana and Robert Guyer of Dillsburg; a son and his wife, W. Andrew and Jana Brinton of San Diego, CA; a granddaughter, Ella Noel Brinton; a brother and his wife, Gene L. and Barbara Brinton of New Cumberland; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp. Visitation will be held from10:30 - 11:00 AM in the church on Tuesday.
