Pauline B. “Polly” King, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was a retired Labor Inspector for the PA Department of Labor & Industry, Harrisburg, a volunteer for fifteen years at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp. and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Polly was born in Ernest, PA to the late George and Pauline (Steve) Gibarty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard N. King and her sister Evelyn Gibarty.
She is survived by her four sons, Richard N. and wife Debbie of Mechanicsburg, Robert G. of New Cumberland, David G. and wife Karyn of Mechanicsburg and Daniel G. and wife Heather of New Cumberland; two sisters, Dorothy Lingenfelter of New Cumberland and Ann Masheris of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Robert C., Bailey A. and Tanner G. King.
Polly made friends everywhere she went because of her compassion for those she met. Goodbye Mother, Mum, Grammy. Rest in peace. We will love you always.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in her church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland. There will be no viewing or visitation. Inurnment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070.
