Priscilla H. Winger

Priscilla H. Winger, 83, formerly of New Cumberland, died Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was born on November 9th, 1931 in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Clarence Stanley and Athalia (Havard) Fox. She was the widow of Major Robert H. Winger, U.S. Army Ret. and was also preceded in death by a son, Eric P. Winger.
Priscilla was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and attended Central Pennsylvania Business School, PA Junior College of Medical Arts and Harrisburg Area Community College. She enjoyed reading, writing and classical music. In her earlier years she was an active volunteer with her church and many other organizations including the Aurora Club and the Harrisburg State Hospital. Additionally, she was instrumental in establishing Catholic Masses at Messiah Village and founded the Writing Club and Rosary Club there.
Surviving are three sons, Robert H. Jr. (Marjorie) of Williamsburg, VA, Michael A. of Manassas, VA, and Konrad S. (Sherri) of Danville; three daughters, Rose M. Chunik of Springfield, VA, Susan A. Yasalonis (Michael) of Camp Hill, and Karen B. Hill (Phillip) of York Haven; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, December 12, 2014 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon. There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa Caring Community, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
