Rebecca Lynn Schmidt

Rebecca Lynn Schmidt, 63, of Newberry Twp., Etters, died Tuesday, May 01, 2018, at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

Becky’s grandchildren were the central focus of her life. Born in Johnstown on July 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late James and Lois Jean (Faight) Partsch. She attended Newberrytown Church of God Bible Study.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Thomas Jon Schmidt; a son and his wife, U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Thomas J. Schmidt, II, and wife, Melinda of Camp LeJeune; two daughters and their husbands, Heidi and Robert Forsythe of Elizabethtown, and Leslie and Ryan St. John of Etters; three sisters, Debbie Pileski of Mineral Point, Barbara Dundore of Wormleysburg, and Eileen McVicar of Fredericksburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Bryanna, Kiara, Ian, Amelia, Paige, Hunter and Sophia; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Charles Yost officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home on Saturday.
