Reta M. (Tomlinson) Sprow

Reta Myrtis (Tomlinson) Sprow, 83, of Camp Hill, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at VibraLife Rehabilitation Center, Mechanicsburg, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Daughter of the late Veldon Earl and Nora Bell (Cogdil) Tomlinson, she was born on June 8, 1936, in Houston, TX.

Born and raised in Texas, Reta joined the U.S. Air Force in her early 20s. While stationed in Michigan, she met her husband, Ronald L. Sprow (passed in 2005), and the two were married in 1959. They moved to Pennsylvania, where Reta began employment with AMP, Harrisburg – she retired after 38 years as an executive secretary. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed crocheting. She was a lover of animals, and had a green thumb when it came to caring for her plants and flowers.

Reta leaves behind her daughter, Maria Rosanne Toddes (husband, Christopher) of Camp Hill; grandchildren, Daniel Christopher Toddes and Savannah Toddes; a brother, Milton Sherwood Tomlinson of Texas; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald L. Sprow; and two sisters, Margie Bernice Macy and Allergene Ballard.

A visitation will take place from 10-11AM on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A funeral service will begin at 11AM. Immediately following services at the funeral home, burial will take place in Slate Hill Cemetery, Lower Allen Township.
