Rev. Elizabeth Armstrong Crosby

August 8, 1927 — July 30, 2016

Rev. Elizabeth Armstrong Crosby, 88, of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.

She was a retired licensed minister with the Assemblies of God receiving her license from the General Council Assemblies of God, Springfield, MO in April of 1953; a graduate of Waynesboro High School (1945), Taylor University, Upland, IN (1947) and Central Bible College, Springfield, MO (BA – 1950). Her faith and ministry led her to serve Shanksville Assembly of God (1951-1964), Bentlyville Assembly of God (1965-1971), Poland Mines Assembly of God (1973-1975) and Central Assembly of God, Houston, PA (1975-1980). She served with Child and Youth Evangelism from 1950-1951. Elizabeth was a member of the Penn Del District Council of Assemblies of God, Mechanicsburg; a member of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill; an accomplished pianist and organist; an effective preacher, minister and teacher; loved to cook and prepare nourishing meals; and she traveled extensively with her husband Harold visiting missionaries in more than sixty countries around the world since their marriage in 1980.

Pastor Crosby was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Ray and Evalina (Hill) Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Ted Weaver.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Harold E. Crosby; a son Rev. David P. Crosby, Sr. of New Cumberland; a daughter Carole J. Kimmel of Tyrone; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Rd. Camp Hill, PA with Pastor Philip Bongiorno and Pastor Lee Hyman officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Elizabeth’s name to World Missions General Council Assemblies of God, 1445 N. Boonville Ave. Springfield, MO 65802.
