Richard E. Greene, Jr.

June 27, 1979 — April 5, 2019

Richard E. Greene, Jr., 39, of Camp Hill passed away on April 5, 2019 at his home.

Rich was born on June 27, 1979 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Theresa School, New Cumberland and Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill. He received his GED in lieu of a diploma. He also received a computer degree from the University of Phoenix. He worked for Overnight Office, RiteAid Corporation, and most recently for Amsted Rail.

Rich was such a kind-hearted, easy-going, and fun-loving guy. He had a sharp mind and great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and had the biggest smile.

He always enjoyed hanging out with friends. He liked to go camping, fishing, and tubing. In his free-time he liked to play video games and customize his computer. A few years ago he bought a Jeep and went right to work, customizing it himself. He had a natural artistic ability and was a self-proclaimed technology and computer nerd. He loved his cat, Morty. But more than those things, he was a true friend and would do whatever he could for them.

Rich was a wonderful uncle to his nephew, Garrett. They shared a love of all things Star Wars and building Lego sets.

As a little brother, he was an entertainer and best friend. He adored his sister, Kelly and looked up to her.

He was his mother’s baby boy and their mother-son relationship was very strong. He was her Richie. He was a loving son and became her caretaker when she became sick.

He loved his friends and family so much.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; Paternal Grandparents, Donald Greene and Minerva Pauline Henry; and Maternal Grandfather, Michael Bobak.

Rich is survived by his mother, Colleen M. Bobak Greene of Camp Hill; sister, Kelly Greene and nephew Garrett, of Lewisberry; grandmother, Marie Bobak of Myrtle Beach, SC.
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
