Richard L. Polan, Sr.

Richard L. Polan Sr. , 81, formerly of Camp Hill, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
He was a member of the 1953 graduating class of Shamokin High School; a member of the Coal Cracker Club and a member of Community United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Born in Danville on October 3rd, 1933, he was the son of the late John H. and Ruth I. (Hess) Polan. He was the widow of Violet S. (Henniger) Polan.
Surviving are a daughter, Diana P. Saaoud of Mechanicsburg; a son, Richard L. Jr. (Terri E.) of New Cumberland; two brothers, William Polan and Walter Stania, both of Shamokin; a sister, Linda Cawthern of Easton; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan and Zachary.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with The Rev. Marcy H. Nicholas officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Viewing will be held 6 – 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
