Robert F. Beck, 87, formerly of York Haven and Lemoyne, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in his Susquehanna Twp. residence with his loving wife by his side.
He was a retired printer for the former New Cumberland Army Depot (DDSP), Fairview Twp. and later, a printer for Kirsch Printing, New Cumberland. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Bob coached youth baseball for many years, was a Den Master for Boy Scouts of America, and was a bowling coach at both Trindle Bowl, Mechanicsburg and the former Camp Hill Lanes.
Bob was born in Shamokin to the late Marvin and Nancy (Price) Beck. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of more than 52 years Donna F. (Kishbaugh) Beck; children, Carolyn Drumheller of Sunbury, Robert Beck of Shamokin, Raymond Beck of Hemet, CA, Donna K. Beck of Maitland, FL, James Beck of Harrisburg and Phyllis Adams of Owings Mills, MD; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 14, 2014 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
