Robert Harold Hockenberry

April 27, 1934 — February 11, 2016

Robert Harold Hockenberry, 81, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, and formerly of Mars, died Thursday, February 11th, 2016, at Golden Living, East Pennsboro Twp.
He retired as the owner and barber of Bob’s Barber Shop, Mars; a Marine Corps Veteran; a member of Saint Kilian Catholic Church, Cranberry Twp.; American Legion Post #143, New Cumberland; VFW Post #7505, Mars and V.F.W. Post #7415, New Cumberland. Born on April 27th, 1934 in Yatesboro, he was the son of the late Arthur Hockenberry and Edith Lorenz. Mr. Hockenberry was the widower of Valgene P. (Pastrick) Hockenberry and was also preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Hockenberry.
Surviving are a daughter, Robin G. Edwards (Ken) of Etters; a sister, Doris Ziminski of Renfrew; three grandchildren, Kayla, Nathan and Lauren Edwards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 26th at Saint Kilian Catholic Church, 205 Clark St., Mars, with the Rev. Levi Hartle as celebrant. Burial will follow immediately in Butler County Memorial Park, Butler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 6 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
