Robert John Donlevy, 62, of Lewisberry, died June 6, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. Son of the late Francis J. and Rosemary D. (McDonald) Donlevy, he was born on August 13, 1956, in Shenandoah, PA.
Robert was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School (’74) and went on to own and operate his own automotive repair business, Donlevy’s Auto Service, York Haven. Robert was active in his community; he was past president of Newberry Business Association, treasurer of the AASP (Alliance of Automotive Service Providers), and was very proud to serve as a Sacristan and eucharistic minister at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, going on cruises, and spending time with family and friends. He looked forward to his family’s “annual pilgrimage” to South Bend for a Notre Dame football game each fall.
Robert is survived by his wife of 31 years, Vivian B. (Lepley) Donlevy; daughters, Michelle Bowers (Dr. Steven Khoo) of Sanford, NC, and Rhonda Burkey of Etters; siblings, Rosemary D. Cox (David) of Camp Hill, Francis J. Donlevy (Deborah) of Mechanicsburg, Elaine R. Siemon (Keith) of Elizabethtown, John T. Donlevy of New Cumberland, Kevin F. Donlevy (Patricia) of Hinsdale, IL, Patrick J. Donlevy of New Cumberland, and Maureen A. Donlevy Smith (Scott) of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Brianna Burkey, Kyla Burkey, Jordan Bowers and Savannah Khoo; in-laws, Harold and Pat Lepley of New Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 13 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will immediately follow mass in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry. A public viewing will be held the evening prior, June 12, from 6-8PM at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
