Roberta D. "Bobbi" Smith

Roberta D. “Bobbi” Smith, 87, of New Cumberland, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

She was a retired Registered Nurse and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. She was a member of the Harrisburg Bridge Club and West Shore Country Club where she was a past amateur ladies golf champion. She was one of the very first volunteers for Hospice of Central PA and her passions included gardening and oil painting.

Roberta was born in Sumter, SC to the late Wallace and Francis (Broadway) Dingle.

She was the widow of David A. Smith, Sr., MD and is survived by her children, Debra F. Smith of Indianapolis, IN, David A. Smith, Jr. and wife Pamellia of Hamburg, MI, Robert A. Smith, Sr. and wife Susan of Elizabethtown and Sherryl L. Miles of Boynton Beach, FL; a sister Hattie Dangerfield and husband Coleman of Moncks Corner, SC; four grandchildren, Zachary David Smith, Carrie Marie Smith, Robert A. Smith, Jr. and Kaitlyn Grace Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Roberta’s family wishes to convey their sincere appreciation for the compassionate care given to their mother by the Masonic Hospice.
