Ronald Eugene Gallagher

September 27, 1950 — February 3, 2020

Ronald Eugene Gallagher, 69, of Goose Creek, SC, and formerly of Carlisle, died Monday, February 3, 2020, at Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, surrounded by his daughters.

He retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a Vietnam veteran. Following his military career, he worked as a coach bus driver for Capital Trailways. He was an avid fisher and hunter and enjoyed playing games of chance. Born in Harrisburg on Sept. 27, 1950, he was the son of the late Leroy and Irene (Supko) Gallagher. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Gallagher.

Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Keefer (Chad) of Camp Hill, Donnarae Edwards (Josh) of Enola, and Trisha Youssef (Ahmed) of Carlisle; many stepchildren; many brothers and sisters; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 11, at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp. Active duty and veterans are encouraged to wear uniforms or military attire.
