Ruth Ann Cobaugh

Ruth Ann “Gram” (Lehr) Cobaugh, 83, of Lewisberry, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She enjoyed babysitting for close friends and family. Some would have called it her job, but to her it was her passion. Her greatest love in life was having her family and grandchildren by her side. She had a great appreciation for every kind of flower. Ruth was often found tending to her garden, nursing plants back to health, and caring for animals. She was a member of Wormleysburg Church of God and was close with her church family.

Ruth Ann was born in Harrisburg to the late William A. and Mary E. (Foesel) Lehr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Daniel F. Cobaugh, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Daniel F. Cobaugh, Sr.; three daughters, Brenda Collins of Harrisburg, Karen Hitesman of New Bloomfield and Susan Glover of Lewisberry; a sister Mary Weaver of Steelton; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Emily, Lea, Seth, Miranda, Skylar and Nicholas; and looking forward to her first great grandson, Wyatt, in September.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd St. Camp Hill, PA 17011. Visitation with the family will be held during a dinner that will immediately follow the service. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.
