Ruth E. Beauduy

Ruth E. Beauduy, 90, of New Cumberland, PA, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Born on July 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alfred D. and Grace (Shergur) Connelly. Mrs. Beauduy was the widow of Francis X. Beauduy.
Ruth was the gentle matriarch of a loving family, and devoted her life to raising and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished family gatherings at the Jersey Shore, her annual Fall trips to Vermont, and special trips to Ireland. She was a prolific reader and had a book in her hand every day. She loved sharing the world she found in those books, especially with a child at her knee.
Surviving are seven sons and seven daughters, Francis X. (Denise)of Fillmore, CA, Michele Bibby of Goose Creek, SC, Jeanne Van Pelt of Napa, CA, John (Rose) of Sterling Heights, MI, Michael (Alice) of Jackson, NJ, Thomas (Pamela) of New Cumberland, Mary Buchwald (George) of Tinton Falls, NJ, Charles (Sandra) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Kathleen Novosel (Joseph) of Linglestown, PA, Therese Castello of Millersburg, PA, Peter (Lori) of Mechanicsburg, Cecilia Beauduy of Hummelstown, PA, Margaret Helzer (Peter) of Pleasant Hill, OR, and Paul (Tamara) of New Cumberland; a sister, Jeanne Warner of Dothan, AL; 27 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 5:30 to 8 pm on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Parthemore Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Tuesday January 22, 2013 in St. Jerome Catholic Church, 254 Wall St. West Long Branch, NJ with the Rev. Walter Quiceno as Celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch, NJ.
