Sally Jane (Fisher) Dalton

July 25, 1955 — November 21, 2021

Sally Jane (Fisher) Dalton, 66, formerly of the Harrisburg area, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. She was the daughter of the late William Fisher and Marian (Straub) Falbo, born on July 25, 1955 in Harrisburg.

Sally grew up in Marysville, attending Susquenita High School, and then entered the workforce, where she would work a multitude of jobs over the years. She worked in retail, real estate, home delivery and positions of management; there wasn’t much that Sally couldn’t do. She especially enjoyed her last years of employment, working at her son’s restaurant, Cedar Cliff Pizza, Camp Hill. Although she was a hard worker, she found “nanny” and “mom” to be the most important job titles in her repertoire. She loved being with family around the holidays, and she was happiest when everyone was together. Sally made the best stuffed shells, she loved dogs and birds, and she had a passion for politics; you may have seen her working the local polls on election day. She felt fortunate to be able to watch her two youngest grandchildren regularly, and the highlight of each and every year were the annual trips taken with her sister and cousin. The love for her family paled only in comparison to her love for the Lord; most recently, she attended Calvary Chapel Harrisburg – West Shore. She found strength in Him when she was diagnosed with lung cancer this past year. Although she kept her struggle private from most on the outside, she would repeatedly tell her children that she wasn’t afraid, as she knew exactly where she was going. Although there is much to celebrate, Sally’s family will miss their loving and dear matriarch.

Surviving Sally are her children, Steve Dalton (Angela) of Harrisburg, Marc Dalton Sr. (Melissa) of Camp Hill, and Nicole Miller (Robert) of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Mecca and Deuce, Marc Jr., Ryan and Adam, and Samuel and Maggie; siblings, Dennis (Marilyn), Bill (Linda), Tom (Margie), Susan Hight (John), Ed (Jane), Todd Fisher, and Sherry Hilton (Ric); and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Calvary Chapel Harrisburg – West Shore, 702 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Sally’s name to: Vickie’s Angel Foundation, 511 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070, or at www.vickiesangelfoundation.org.
