Samuel D. Triest

Samuel D. Triest, 90 of Etters, PA died Monday, November 4, 2019 at Lebanon VA Medical Center.

A Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired machinist from TRW, Inc. He was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland and James A. Danner VFW Post 537, Etters. He enjoyed painting, poker, gardening, and playing the slots with his beloved wife. He enjoyed life to the fullest with his family, and cherished visits from his grandchildren.

He was born November 19, 1928 in Harrisburg to the late Samuel A. and Millicent (DeArman) Triest. He was also preceded in death by his sister Jane Tasek and brothers Clair and David Triest.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy N. Triest; a son, Michael W. Triest, two daughters: Cheryl A. Hakes and Vicki L. Kurland and son-in-law, Timothy R. Kurland all of Etters, PA; five grandchildren: Briana, Samantha, Meagan, Hailey, and Nicholas; and two great-grandchildren, Julia and Gwendolyn.

Viewing will be from 11am until 12pm Friday, November 8, 2019 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:30 pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
